Tom Eaton

Tom Eaton was born in Schenectady , New York 1948, and has been attracted to art since childhood. Self taught and actively exploring the world of visual art he was drawn to traditional styles reflecting the Boston Schools, as well as the “isms” and innately recognizing a style of his own.

Working , contemporary and traditional subjects on canvas and board , Tom retreats to his studio daily.

Consistently described as imaginative and unique, his paintings usually begin with an ochre under wash, which develops a predominant theme.

The results, a style he calls contemporary impressionism. A unique focused, personal take on the realities , that reflect upon our daily lives.

Eaton is a member of the Provincetown Art Association the

Cape Cod Art Association the Cape Cod Museum of Art.

And is now represented by Elizabeth Rowley Gallery in Orleans, Ma.

He resides with his wife Judy in West Yarmouth, Ma. His paintings can be found in homes across the United States.
